BREAKING NEWS: Housing Starts Decline, Permits Rise in August

Housing starts fell 5% in August from July to a 571,000-unit rate, missing estimates and marking the biggest decline since April. Permits to build new homes rose 3.2% to a 620,000-unit rate, topping estimates and marking the highest rate since December.
