BREAKING NEWS: IBM Names Rometty CEO, Palmisano To Stay On As Chairman

After the bell on Tuesday, IBM said Virginia Rometty has been named president and CEO, effective January 1. Rometty is currently senior vice president and group executive for sales, marketing and strategy. Current IBM CEO Sam Palmisano will stay on as chairman.
