Those who are not residing in Rawalpindi/Islamabad should only apply if they are serious in relocating. 1. Linux and Windows Administration. 2. Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software. 3. Manage data backups, replication, and scripts backups on periodic intervals. 4. Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Windows networks, Linux workstations, Ethernet networks, network cabling, security cameras and other related equipment, devices, and systems. 5. Add or upgrade and configure modems, disk drives, DVDs, printers, and related equipment. 6. Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users. 7. Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. 8. Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations. 9. Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures. 10. Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards. 11. Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability. 12. Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability. 13. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network. 14. Document network problems and resolutions for future reference. 15. Manage email, anti-spam and virus protection 16. Working with the IT management, anticipate, plan and communicate future (6 months to two year) hardware/network requirements, direction and solutions. 17. Communicate effectively and proactively with all stakeholders. 18. Develop and execute a power management system that results in the usage of least amount of power and the fewest disruptions to operational systems
