JOB PURPOSE: To establish QC objectives and its implementation across the company. Generate quality feedback on the state of quality in the company along with recommendations for improvement on predefined frequency. Strive for the development of quality culture at sites/works endeavor, to achieve zero-defect objective for the project. 3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: DescriptionKey Performance Indicators Project Contract & Specification: Ensuring development of PQP and QIP by studying contract & specification thoroughly to meet customers expectation/requirements comprehensively Approval of PQP/QIP by clients Resource Management: Assuring deployment of human resources and Inspection & Testing equipments as per project budget and utilize them to get time tested results Timely selection and recruitment of QA/QC project staff Progress and Budgetary Control: Responsible to monitor and control activities having critical success factors for quality of deliverables across the organization to ensure project in-charge QA/QC executes his functional responsibilities within the budgetary provisions and in case of any deviation due to any reason get it raised through SM/Head BA to utilize the budget on right way Effective monitoring of project budgets Quality Planning and Implementation: Ensuring the overall execution of the Quality inspection Plan at BAs/Projects through a well-managed project QA/QC team Responsible for ensuring that, construction / manufacturing methods are in line with Quality Inspection Plans and are well understood by concerned supervisors, places emphasis and concentration on quality cost reduction opportunities through close coordination with project QA/QC team by site visits Effective implementation of PQP/QIP at projects. Receiving Inspection: Responsible for providing assistance to the Corporate Commercial/BA for incoming material inspections as and when required Coordination with corporate commercial /BA for inspections Documents and Data Control: Responsible for ensuring that controlled copies of all relevant codes and/or specifications are available at BA/Project to avoid any misinformation Ensuring that he and other functionaries, in accordance with Master Lists of Documents, hold only current documents to avoid the mishandling Availability of relevant codes and standards at site Subcontractors / Suppliers Qualification: Responsible for providing assistance to Commercial/Subcontracting at DHQ for technical evaluation of subcontractors/suppliers as per laid down policies/instructions Quality of subcontractors and suppliers selected Coordination With Customer: Ensuring that in-charge QA/QC BA/Project answers all quality related queries of the Customer to increase customer satisfaction Response time Response effectiveness Customer satisfaction Reporting the Cost of Quality and customer Feedback: Assuring proper implementation of cost of quality and customer feedback procedures/method statement at sites for on time improvements where required Timely collection of feedback Timely dissemination of feedback Control of Non-conforming Products: Responsible to review and monitor all internal & external CARs/PARs logs received from sites for timely closure of all open CARs/PARs Responsible for closely monitoring of rate of rejection and rework cost to analyze the negativity Control effectiveness Training and Awareness Sessions: Strictly identify training needs of QA&QC staff in consultation with Head QA&QC and conduct trainings as per need of the staff Meetings with the Head QA/QC discussing staff training needs Trainings delivered as per requirement Quality Audits: Facilitate corporate quality assurance for conducting quality audit programs Generation of relevant Information Identification of facts and Figures Ensuring Core and Operating Values: Takes ownership of Companys Quality & HSE policies, Core and Operating Values to identify any amendments and their implementation Strictly following the polices Suggesting recommendations for any change Taking the Ownership of Company QHSE Policy: Accountable to create a safe working environment, manage risks, reduce exposure to hazardous liability and ensure implementation of QHSE policy Comply with all QA/QC standards (DIMS documents) as applicable to the company systems, policies, procedures, and documents in order to deliver the expected quality of work. Adherence to HSE standards Adherence to DIMS documents 4. JOB CONTEXT: The efficiency of this position is critical for ensuring protection of companys credibility with respect to quality of deliverables Having large on going construction activities it is critical to have control over sub-contractors by providing them training on quality management system of the company Has an important role in reviewing and advising sub-contractors in term of quality compliance at sites and participate in the project kick off meeting 5. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Departmental staff and Head QA/QC for work related issues Communication with other BA/BSDs regarding quality related issues Communication with In charge site QA/QC External: Communication with third party inspection agencies and authorized inspectors 6.
