BREAKING NEWS: Consumer Sentiment Picks Up in Late December

A final reading on consumer sentiment for December checked in at 69.9, higher than the preliminary reading of 67.7, according to a survey by Thomson Reuters and the University of Michigan. Economists forecast the gauge to climb to 68.
