BREAKING NEWS: House Passes Republican Payroll Tax Cut Extension

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a Republican bill to renew a payroll tax cut, extend unemployment benefits, and speed up a decision on the Keystone XL oil pipeline. The bill now moves to the Senate, where Democrats want to change it. The White House, however, has threatened a veto of the version of the bill that the House passed.
